As trials are planned around the world to address COVID-19, critical decisions need to be made about which sites to include. We believe trial managers/research coordinators have important expertise to predict site recruitment success.
Developed using trial manager/research coordinator expertise, the ESP2 study uses 8 flags to help trial teams think through which sites to concentrate on. The 8 flags may help with immediate management decisions about where to put trial resources. Moreover, by recording predictions and, in due course, actual recruitment, will we build an evidence base on how useful these 8 flags are.
